FAQ
Short, factual answers to what operators ask first. Anything missing — ask us directly.
01How is NAVIS licensed?
Per managed vessel, with every module included. There are no per-user charges for crew, and pricing is agreed per fleet — the pricing page lists exactly what a workspace includes.
02How long does it take to get a fleet onto NAVIS?
A pilot workspace is provisioned in days. Real adoption is paced by your registers — equipment, certificates, crew — which we help you load; most operations run their first vessel within a few weeks.
03Does it work for a single vessel as well as a fleet?
Yes. Each vessel is its own workspace; a management company adds a fleet view across all of them. A single-vessel program simply starts with one workspace.
04Who sees what? We have crew, shore staff and an external accountant.
Access is role-based per vessel and per page, enforced in the database. The bosun sees maintenance, the accountant sees finance, the DPA sees compliance — and owner reporting draws from the same records.
05Can we get our data out?
Every register exports to CSV and branded PDF. Your data is yours — including if you leave.
06Is our data isolated from other companies?
Yes. Row-level security on every table means a workspace can only ever read its own records — workspaces are isolated even within your own fleet.
